Hunting season is here and you know what that means. There’s going to be a lot more pictures that your friend or loved one is going to take. From woodland landscapes to a great shot of that massive buck, there are tons of photos to help capture the thrill of the hunt. However, once those pictures are taken, how can you be sure that your loved on is going to fully appreciate them? Do yourself and your sportsman a favor. Take all of those fantastic photos and woodland memories and put them into a stunning photo album dedicated just to hunting season.

Able to be filled with tons of great photos and snapshots of your favorite hunting trips, a hunting photo album is a great way to celebrate the thrill of the catch while ensuring that your memories never fade. All you need to get started are just some photos from your last hunting trip. As time goes on, feel free to take more and more photos of your experiences out in the wilderness. Get creative. Write in captions. Include some details about each and every catch. There’s a ton of different options for you to choose from.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but some people are already thinking about the holidays. If you’ve been having visions of gingerbread and sugarplums, it may be time for you to start thinking about how you’ll complete your holiday shopping list without breaking the bank. Luckily, do-it-yourself gifting is going to be big this year, so feel free to get into the spirit with this lovely gift idea from StorePhotos.com!

The Holiday Scrapbook

When it comes to family, there’s nothing better than reliving those special memories in photographs. If you have a huge photo collection of shots from the holidays, it may be time for you to get those pictures together and do something really creative with them! Don’t just shove them in an album or a shoe box. Instead, make them really shine by making a holiday scrapbook using the scrapbooking supplies from StorePhotos.com.

Start out by choosing a decorative scrapbook of your choice in a size that fits your photo collection. Think bigger books for more photos. Next, go through your photo collection and choose the best photos that show off the holiday celebration. Try to go for a combination of candids and posed shots to get the best variety.

Once you have your photos, use adhesive to secure the photos to your scrapbook pages. After the glue has dried and your photos are secure, feel free to get creative with ribbons, scraps, embellishments, and other decorative accents that really bring out the holiday spirit. Go for a holiday motif to tie everything together. Finally, personalize your gift by writing in captions, notes to your loved one, and festive holiday quotes that help to make the scrapbook memorable and thoughtful. All that’s left to do now is just wrap it and give it to someone you love!

For those tempted to dive into the fun world of scrapbooking, there are endless reasons why you should start. It’s rewarding to be able to look at a finished project that you can enjoy yourself and share with others. Below are five reasons why you should start scrap booking today!

Scrapbooking allows you to connect with others. Whether it be attending classes or getting together with friends to scrapbook together, it offers interaction with others that have similar interests.

It brings smiles across family and friends faces as you look back at pictures from the past and reminisce. Enjoy looking through your scrapbooks when someone is feeling down to brighten the day.

Scrapbooking allows you to reflect that your life is art. You remember past moments and feelings in old snapshots. These photos are just another one of the beautiful, artistic creations you’ve made to capture those feelings.

Time spent scrapbooking honors the experiences of people who make up your life. You find yourself enjoying the present moment to the fullest and time spent in reflection.

Any scrapbook is a treasured gift. Whether you hang on to your own work, or give one of your works as a gift, you know it’s filled with pieces of emotions and memories that can be cherished by any.

These are just a few reasons why you should start scrapbooking – so get out all your old photos and go for it, but most importantly, have fun!

Q – I recently bought a scrapbook to start scrapbooking, but I can not seem to get my embellishments to stick to my pages. Whenever I make a page and put it in my book, the embellishments always seem to be at the bottom of the page whenever I open it back up to show anyone. I am using regular white scrapbooking paper and a glue stick to stick my embellishments. Could this be the glue or paper causing the embellishments to fall off the page? – Sue, TX

A – Hi Sue, thanks for contacting StorePhotos.com. It does not sound like it is the paper causing your embellishments to come off. It actually may be the glue. Make sure you are using a higher bond glue. Regular glue sticks are fine for photos and light weight embellishments but if you are gluing heavier decorations on your pages, the glue stick may not hold the weight. StorePhotos.com carries an embellishment glue stick specifically for this problem. This glue stick can hold the weight of a penny. It is also meant for wood, fabric, felt, light metals and cardboard. This will definitely fix the problem you are having. Hope this helps!

Venture outdoors to explore and capture the gorgeous fall colors the season has to offer. The vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow can create amazing photographs. This fall, maximize your photography skills with these tips to make your snapshots shine!

-The best time of the day to photograph in the fall is early morning or late afternoon. The shadows and light during these times of the day provide depth to your photos.

-Don’t be fooled by overcast days. Grey and slightly gloomy days allow for fall colors to truly pop in your photos.

-Windy day? Try out different shutter speeds and use a tripod to experiment with pictures that capture motions from the breeze or light wind. Moving leaves and blurred effects can be unique.

-Indulge in contrasts by including opposing colors. Bright fall foliage will look even brighter when photographed next to a dark landscape or building.

-Water reflection on a pond, lake or stream are best captured early morning when the light is slowing rising. It’s best to focus on a focal point to allow for a clear reflection.

Some of the most beautiful pictures are taken during the rall. Experiment with different lenses and shutter speeds to give an element of uniqueness to your photos.

If you’re like most people, you can already feel that chill in the air, that crispness in the mornings, and that cheery feeling that gets you feeling giddy about Halloween and Thanksgiving. It’s true, fall is just about here and it’s time to start preparing. At StorePhotos.com, we’re here to help you celebrate by offering you all of the essentials you need to create the perfect fall scrapbooks. Not sure where to begin? Consider some of these great ideas for fall scrapbook motifs:

1.If you love the foliage, celebrate it by creating scrapbook pages that feature landscape photos of the changing trees, pressed flowers, and even artificial leaves to add color.

2.Get into the spirit of the harvest by including stickers, illustrations, or photos of gourds, pumpkins, corn husks, and other seasonal fruits and veggies.

3.Feeling spooky? Let goblins, ghosts, and ghouls be the focal point of your Halloween scrapbook.

4.Get creative with your Turkey Day pages by adding actual feathers and including pictures of your own thanksgiving feast. As a special touch, include a family recipe or two in your pages.

5.Fall is a season for apples, so be sure to get into the spirit of things by including apple stickers, photos, and decals onto your pages.

Well the summer flew by faster than we could have imagined, and school is back in session. One way to celebrate your first week of classes is to scrapbook your summer adventures. Not only will this help you transition into the new school year, but it also gives you time to reflect on the summer you just had. StorePhotos.com has some “end of summer” scrapbooking ideas that you may want to include in your scrapbook:

1 – Make your scrapbook chronological by starting with the last week of the previous school year.

2 – Add all of your vacations including day trips by decorating the page according to the theme of the trip. For example, if you went to the beach, create a page that reflects a beach theme or if you went to Disney World, create a page with a Disney theme.

3 – Create a page for those rainy days. This will help add contrast to your “fun in the sun” pages.

4 – Remember to put a 4th of July page that has a patriotic theme!

5 – Backyard BBQ’s are always a big part of the summer so including some of those occasions will definitely spice things up.

6 – Finish the scrapbook with a page that shows the start of the current school year.
